Corporate Social Responsibility Program
As a Subholding Refining & Petrochemical of PT Pertamina (Persero), PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional is aware of its role as one of the development actors that is expected to contribute to improving community welfare. The Company's existence is expected to provide a positive impact and contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (TPB), including in the social aspect. Currently, commitment to community welfare and the environment has become one of the main criteria in measuring the Company's overall performance.
To that end, the Company runs a Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL) to mitigate the negative impacts of its operational activities and provide added value in the form of community empowerment that is carried out continuously by involving the community in order to improve the level of community welfare, especially the community around the Company's operational locations. In implementing the Social and Environmental Responsibility Program (TJSL), the Company refers to best practices and the Company's internal policies, namely ISO 26000 Guidance in Social Responsibility and PT KPI's TJSL Policy. ISO 26000 Guidance in Social Responsibility addresses seven core subjects of social responsibility which include: Governance, human rights, employment practices, environment, fair operating practices, consumer issues, and community involvement and development.
